What’s meadow’s meanderings?

What could Steve Jobs have in common with Michelangelo? Is Tim Minchin’s song “15 minutes” about anyone’s ability to become famous because of internet’s ubiquity or is it about becoming famous for a beat, as Andy Warhol said. Have we gotten capitalism wrong? Was Kurt Vonnegut right all this time about pretending who we want to be because we become what we pretend to be?

I often think about these questions and end up researching a lot of seemingly unrelated random stuff. There have been countless times when two different works ( article/ book/ art) have talked about the same thing.

Through these articles, I’d like to explore these connections and hence develop frameworks for storytelling in business & art.

Alright, but what’s with the name “meadow’s meanderings”

The literal meaning of my first name,Shelley, is meadow on the ledge. I took the liberty to give it a poetic twist by embedding it in my core philosophy of simple living and optimism. Meadow growing on a piece of rock with minimal resources but trying to hold itself in every weather. I have an art account where I occasionally post my illustrations on day-to-day life.

How often will you post?

Longer essays - once in two weeks on a lazy Friday afternoon.

Curated lists of recommendations to read from around the internet - once a week (on a Saturday?)

A study of how customisation of products is a byproduct of how businesses are reacting to mega-trends on social media like #Beauty #HealthandFitness #Personal Lifestyle #Travel #Business #Fashion #Animals #Relationships

    These trends are often the most common themes for famous comics on Instagram with tags like #adulting #selfcare #parenting #mentalhealth #wildlifeconservation #darkhumor #relatablecomics #existentialcrisis #absurdjokes #millenials #feminism #animalconversations

  3. Shape of Ideas

Inspired by one of my favourite illustrators, Grant Snider and the book, Creativity Inc. by Ed Catmull, in this article, I tried to explore how to get over that artist block or writer’s block and let the ideas flow.

If any of the above feels like something you might me interested in, you know what to do!
